Ningbo Liangmao Standard Parts Co.,Ltd has recently finished an important OEM custom‑fastener cooperation project for a well‑known industrial machinery manufacturer based in Central Europe. The client develops and produces automated processing equipment and needs series‑of non‑standard screws, special‑shape washers and locating pin parts for their core equipment assembly lines.
Unlike conventional standard‑size fasteners, this batch of customized products involves special outer‑diameter dimensions, modified head structures, precise tolerance requirements and special surface‑finish parameters according to the customer’s original equipment drawings. The client faced difficulties finding qualified suppliers who could balance drawing compliance, stable batch‑quality and reasonable bulk‑production cost. After comparing multiple Asian manufacturers, they finally selected Ningbo Liangmao as their custom‑fastener partner.
At the early cooperation phase, our R&D and engineering team deeply analyzed the customer’s engineering drawings. We put forward several feasible suggestions regarding raw‑material selection, cold‑heading forming feasibility and thread‑process optimization, to help avoid potential manufacturing risks while fully meeting assembly‑performance demands. We clarified every technical detail through multiple email and video conference communications.
We first produced small‑batch prototype samples. After sample machining, our internal lab completed full‑item performance testing and then sent physical samples together with test reports to Europe. The customer carried out real‑machine assembly testing and performance verification on prototypes. After minor parameter adjustment and second‑round sample confirmation, mass‑production work was formally initiated.
In mass‑production phase, we set‑up dedicated production task cards for this custom project. Each working procedure added enhanced inspection items aiming at special dimensions. Every production shift kept detailed production records for full‑process traceability. After all parts were finished, finished‑goods QC performed 100‑percent appearance screening and sampling dimensional & mechanical‑property testing.
